How Long is Inpatient Drug Rehab?

You might already be aware that most drug and alcohol rehabs have inpatient programs that last between 30 and 90 days. Likewise, here at Red Rock Recovery Center, most of our patients will stay with us for 30 days. However, Red Rock Recovery Center has an extended care program called the "Ascent Program," and this program lasts between 60 to 120 days. Unlike other rehabs, our goal is to keep each patient as long as it is needed for them to gain the foundation and the tools they need to last in recovery.

Is Outpatient Better than Inpatient Drug Rehab?

When choosing a Lakewood inpatient drug rehab, many people will consider outpatient or intensive outpatient (IOP) as an alternative. IOP can be a viable alternative for individuals with limitations and obligations that prevent them from seeking care in a residential inpatient rehab center. Some people just can't afford to take enough time off of work to receive inpatient treatment for a drug or alcohol addiction, but where and when possible, people with addictions should be willing to move mountains to receive inpatient treatment.

What are the Benefits of Inpatient Drug Rehab?

There are a number of obvious benefits to receiving care in a top-notch drug and alcohol treatment program. For example, inpatient care creates a separation from whatever environment is contributing to or enabling substance abuse for the patient. Sobriety and lasting recovery are usually impossible without removing one's self from the environment they are currently in. Inpatient drug rehab gives people enough time and distance from the people, places, and things that stumble them to give them a fighting chance of getting sober and staying sober. There are other benefits to our Lakewood inpatient drug rehab as well. Contact Red Rock Recovery Center today to learn more.
